VIBE RADIO

If any of you guys follow my good friend Michael Armstrong, a.k.a. Gravy, you would have already known that we both have a great radio show, called VIBE RADIO. Tune in Sunday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's from 10-12. If you are not familiar with either Gravy or VIBE RADIO, click on their red (or whatever color they are for you) hyperlink-laden names. I will be putting up a gadget soon so that you guys don't need to find this post.

Tomorrow, we will not be having a show, because we are the guest DJ's for the Classy Ball Formal @ F&M. If you're going to be in the area, swing by and say that BRISK sent you.

New Flavors: The Forbidden Fruit

i just put up a drawing that i did last month. i was listening to music, and a whole slew of ideas came to my mind: beginnings, sin, forgiveness, rest, betrayal and inspiration. this is what i got from it: the garden of eden, a snake, and the forbidden fruit. i was up until about 6 doing this, i watched my brother go to school as i was finishing up lol you can check my album, "ART" for more pieces. enjoy! Check it out on your way down.

Overdue Sweeteners

on Sunday, March 15, at 5:24am, i discovered that starburst now makes a pack with only red pieces. now i don't need to pick out all the reds or try to find someone that wants the yellow (eww) pieces. the oranges are wack, because they're almost red, but they're not. they should've been a red though. Check it out on your way down.

Clothes and Personality

i am the most superficially unsuperficial) people you will ever meet. i care about my appearance, down to every single detail. i buy a lot of expensive stuff, and sometimes my beliefs don't match up with my bank statements. however, the fact of the matter is that i have beliefs. i was talking to my boy tony (and i know a lot of my friends might appreciate this as well) over break about those people in soho (ny) that just dress themselves in designer clothes and accessories and just walk around or post up. i get annoyed. so annoyed. i mean part of me is hating a little (i've been hating a lot lately), because i am superficial and there are things that they have that i would like to have. the rest of me gets annoyed at the fact that with all those brands and messages on your body, you would think that you would have something to say. being sharp is not just popping tags, but having a good head on your shoulders as well. my father would always say that i look like a mascot wearing all these expensive clothes. however. i'm thankful that he said those things because i want to bring something special to the table, something that you just can't put on or take off. what i'm trying to say is, don't be a mannequinn. don't be afraid to say whats on your mind. don't be afraid to say what's near and dear to you. let your clothes say your "hello's," but never let them speak for you.

i mean, who am i to judge? one could say that i am exactly what i don't want to be, and that this is a load of shit.

i'm only human.

Scabs and Drive Thru Windows

People are so quick to get offended. People are also quick to silence themselves for fear of offending someone. Most of the time, offending comments come from a general misunderstanding.

Well if we never say the things (that we fear will offend someone), how can we ever understand each other?

I have a scar on the back of my hand. I got it when I was about 4 years old. I put my hand to an iron because I wanted to know if it was hot. Even though it burned the shit out of me, I would've never known that iron's were hot.

However, not all iron's are hot. you just have to get to know them :)

We all have to take that next step.
